Our tour

Day 1: Almaty

After greeting your guide at the airport, your tour will begin with the best car rent to Almaty Museum*, one of the most sophisticated and fascinating museums in Kazakhstan. The tour continues going to one of Almaty’s oldest parks, the Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, where you’ll see Zenkov Cathedral, one of the world’s most beautiful wooden structures. You can also visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, listen to the guide’s stories, and view the splendor of the Museum of Musical Instruments in the park. The next item of attraction is the Green Bazaar*, a popular hangout for locals where it’s impossible not to shop. It’s a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the ambiance of a true eastern market, complete with its colors, smells, and throng. Famous oriental delicacies, dried fruits, local products, and souvenirs can all be found there, but don’t forget to bargain. They accept cash in tenge (local currency) at the market, so bring some with you or there is an exchange center nearby. Arrive to the hotel and check in. Overnight. *Please note that tours are not offered on Mondays.

Day 2: Almaty

Today with a car rent you will go on a tour with a ride to the Medeu Gorge (1690 m), which is famous for having the world’s highest mountain skating rink. After that, you’ll ride a cable car to the Shymbulak ski resort. Then you’ll take the cable car down the same route as before and drive to the city. Your mountain tour continues at the top of Kok-Tobe hill, where you will be transported by park eco-cars along a gorgeous winding mountain route. You will arrive at Republic Square after a brief tour. The Palace of President, Republic Square, and the Monument of Independence may all be seen during a leisurely stroll down one of Kazakhstan’s main streets. Then you’ll go to the city’s commercial district and take a stroll down Zhibek Zholy, the city’s main pedestrian boulevard, also known as “Almaty Arbat,” which is lined with comfy seats and fountains, as well as stores and cafes. Professional and amateur artists alike choose this location to sell their work. The tour comes to a close at TSUM (Central Department Store), the best and most convenient site to buy handicrafts and antique Kazakh jewelry. This retail store’s top level is a treasure trove of various national mementos. Overnight in the hotel. *Attention: On Tuesdays, in the tour departing at 10:00, cableway is not accessible. Park eco-cars are open in its place.

Day 3: Almaty – Big Almaty Lake – Sunkar – Almaty

The tour begins with a visit to Kazakhstan’s Central State Museum, where you can discover more about the country’s history. After that, you’ll visit the Botanical Garden. After lunch, the tour continues with a drive to the Big Almaty gorge, where the Big Almaty lake, at an elevation of 2,510 meters above sea level, is one of the most gorgeous lakes in the Trans-Ili Alatau. On the way back to town, you’ll stop at the Falcon Farm to see a beautiful show with specially trained hawks – hunting with them is one of the most unique aspects of Kazakh culture. The show occurs outdoors and lasts about 30-40 minutes. If you are easily influenced or easily offended, keep in mind that real (dead) chicks are utilized to feed the birds during the training and display. Following your tour to the Falcon Farm, you will be transported back to your accommodation with reliable cars for rent. Overnight in the hotel. *Attention: Tour is not offered on Mondays.

Day 4: Almaty – Charyn – Almaty

Charyn Canyon is a one-of-a-kind natural wonder in Kazakhstan. The canyon is around 12 million years old and is notable for its sheer cliffs, which resemble ancient castles and were formed by wind, sun, and rain. The car rent tour to the canyon will take approximately 3 hours. Meanwhile, you’ll learn a lot about the region’s history and landscape, as well as Kazakh people, their lives, and traditions, and have lunch in a local cafe. And as soon as you visit Charyn Canyon, you’ll forget everything about the tour since you’ll be so taken aback by the canyon’s majesty and splendor.
